Travel the world through the eyes and talents of global storytellers on the big screen this November. Cinema St. Louis is proud to present the 32nd Annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival Nov 9-19. The fest will deliver nearly 300 films that entertain and educate audiences of all ages. With intimate post-film conversations, free programs for local schools, and special events, SLIFF is a community-focused tradition that should not be missed. CSL Executive Director, Bree Maniscalco, will highlight the best of SLIFF this year while reminding attendees of film’s true power. Bree Maniscalco is Executive Director of Cinema St. Louis. Her involvement with CSL began in 2007, when she first volunteered at the St. Louis International Film Festival. Maniscalco continued that role through 2017, serving as a venue supervisor most years. In conjunction with her postgraduate education for an MA in nonprofit management at Washington University, she completed an analysis of the strategic needs of CSL as her capstone project. She served 4 years on the Cinema St. Louis board and was the organization’s development director. Before joining CSL, Maniscalco filled development roles at Susan G. Komen Missouri, Gateway180 :: Homelessness Reversed, and the Central Institute for the Deaf. High Noon offers free cultural and artistic programming, during your lunch hour! The High Noon series features St. Louis talents from across the arts, cultural, and educational spectrum. Spend a lunch hour enjoying presentations and performances in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere – take a break, and feel free to bring your lunch! High Noons in the Listening Room at High Low (3301 Washington Avenue) take place every Thursday from 12 to 1pm.
