Bernard Long Jr.’s musical journey started at a young age, inspired by a family legacy of percussion. His early experiences, including playing drums at church at the age of 6, laid the foundation for a remarkable career.
As the band director at Normandy High School and an adjunct professor at Lindenwood University, Long has seamlessly blended his roles as an educator and performer, aligning beautifully with the mission of Jazz St. Louis. Despite his extensive professional commitments, Long pursued continuous learning, obtaining a teaching certificate and a master’s degree in Music Education.
Joining Long will be Bernard Terry on bass, Adaron “Pops” Jackson on piano, Christopher McBride on alto sax, and Amber Alexandria Rose on vocals. Select your seat today!
