Theme: Designs should reflect the vibrancy of arts and culture, capturing the creativity, energy, and spirit of Grand Center Arts District.
Location: Three electrical boxes along Grand Avenue.
Compensation: Selected artists will receive a $1,200 stipend, with $300 provided upfront for materials and the remaining $900 awarded upon successful project completion.
Artists are responsible for all materials, including paint and protective coatings.
Designs must be durable and suitable for outdoor conditions, considering sun exposure, weather, and general wear and tear.
Artists must use Sherwin Williams outdoor industrial enamel paint, as required by city regulations.
A clear protective sealant must be applied to ensure longevity.
A panel of District representatives will review submissions and select artists based on creativity, feasibility, and alignment with the theme.
Design Proposal: Submit a visual concept that fits the theme.
Artist Statement: Describe your vision and artistic approach.
Portfolio: Include examples of previous work.
IRS Form W9: Required for payment processing and tax reporting.
Submission Deadline: March 15
Artist Selection: April 1
Project Start Date: April 7
Project Completion Deadline: April 30
The final painting schedule will be coordinated with Grand Center Inc.
