Sheldon Concert Hall & Art Galleries
3648 Washington Blvd
St. Louis,
MO
United States
Featuring Zoe Vonder Haar, Cameron Davis, John Flack, Lisa Ramey and Steve Neale.
It takes a good story, lyrics, music, dance and staging to put a musical together. Enjoy a fast-paced look at the process, with several numbers from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story as an example.
Tickets for live, in-person programs are $5 per student. Scholarships may be available to eligible schools.
These one-hour performances feature some of St. Louis’ top musicians and educators as well as several nationally acclaimed artists. Students are given the opportunity for a Q&A session with artists at the end of each performance. Teacher handbooks, which include additional educational material and follow-up activities, will be provided to guide teachers for each concert.
The Sheldon will continue to offer live-streaming performances of our most popular concerts this season, free of charge to both traditional and home schools, thanks to thanks to the Steward Family Foundation and many other generous donors. Registration is required.
Streaming performances of The American Musical will only be available for viewing at the date and time scheduled. All performances will be available via live stream, but will not be accessible to view after the original, live performance is complete.
