Kim McClay

A St. Louis native, Kim is a New York City based actor/dancer/singer & songwriter and proud member of Actor’s Equity. A multi-disciplined artist, she enjoys dancing (particularly tap); as well as writing and expanding her repertoire on the guitar, though acting remains her first love.

Kim has been writing for years in between (or sometimes during) acting contracts. Her debut album, My Sanity, is a culmination of the last 6 years of her composing/writing journey and it tells stories of heartbreak, triumph, perseverance, and hope. Her musical style is super eclectic – a little folk, a little funk & perhaps a dash of country! She derives inspiration from some of her favorite artists (Lianne La Havas, Allen Stone, Joni Mitchell, Sara Bareilles, Lake Street Dive, the list goes on…) and has created a sound she uniquely considers “indie-pop jazz-folk.”
