Heather James Fine Art is pleased to showcase selections of the work in a special public exhibit in the Grand Hall at The Grandel August 17-19. The exhibit consists of abstract mixed-media paintings and large and small-scale bronze sculptures by Herb Alpert, the acclaimed jazz trumpeter and prolific artist. Alpert’s work will be presented in conjunction with his sold-out concert with Lani Hall next week at The Grandel.

Alpert’s expressive use of mixed-media engages the viewer with a captivating sense of movement and form, translating into a lyrical and powerful experience. An opening reception will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, August 17. The exhibition will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 19 and from 6:30-7 p.m. on Sunday, August 19 prior to the concert as well as for 30 minutes following the show.
